Today I did an autocross and put on my snow tires when I got home. What an odd mix of weather we are having! Tomorrow is supposed to be the coldest day since early April so it was paramount to not be on summers anymore. It was a perfect 60 degree day today and a wonderful way to end a long season of autox. This season I did 15 events which consisted of 3 test and tune/schools and 12 regular events. This totaled to over 100 runs which is an excellent time for very little money. I ran 5 events and 2 test and tunes with BFG Sport Comp 2 tires, 6 events and 1 school on Hoosier SM6 tires, and the last event on Direzza DZ102 tires. I advanced so much throughout the season and feel like I am infinitely better than at the end of last season (my first one). The weather has varied from cold to hot, rainy to dry but no matter what I had fun. Autox is great no matter the weather and the people I meet there are always just so much fun to be around. Even though my car is setup rather uncompetitively, I just have an absolute blast tearing it up out there!
Now is time to make some hot chocolate, put on some warm clothes, and go into hibernation for a few months. Haha, just kidding this is the best time of year! Sure I can’t autocross but skiing will take over my life and with my snow tires and the heat on, I can still drive top down all I want.

I can’t wait for next season. It will be my first now that I have a decent car to autocross.

All cars that at least questionably pass tech are decent to autocross!

A 2001 Outback with an automatic doesn’t sound like much fun at an autocross. It was mildly entertaining at a rallycross though.

After seeing a Prius beat me (in pax time), I firmly believe all vehicles can be fun at autocross.

Yup, great pavement in those parking lots. Wish it was warm enough for the Hoosiers. It might have worked since we got 8 runs in a row but the first couple runs would have been scary!
